Grown on a steeply sloping, ‘rock infested’ slope, hence the name ‘Goat Track’. Strongly coloured, this full-bodied Adelaide Hills Shiraz has a rich, powerful, blackberry and bitter chocolate fruit, supported by quality, ripe tannins. Sometimes you get lucky when you potluck plant. The ‘08 is almost as good as the ‘04, but as I only have a couple of dozen left I feel this comment is a bit of a tease. Tough, they’re all mine.
