The Holy Trinity of Wine: Colour, Smell, Taste

section 19 Cab Sav

2004 Section 19 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; screwcapped. Alc 14.5%

Our premium CabSav. A super elegant palate with excellent fruit and astringent tannins showing through. Plenty of pepper and spice with chocolate in the background. Timely picked, well balanced & with subtle oak. Barrel aged for 18 months on 30% new French and 30 % new American and 40% 1 year old French. This is a “must try” wine in 10 years time. Tony Love The Advertiser November 7th. 2012
“Carrying eight years now and showing the first licks of cedar and pencil cases that come with a maturing cabernet. Here, the flavours ease into the wine as a whole, deep with black fruits, subtle dark chocolate textural in the mouth and a sense of relaxed assurity rather than showiness or overt bluster – just as a developing cabernet should be.”
