The 2013 is looking favourable, at the moment. However we never take anything for granted as the weather has a way of the best made plans of farmers and winemakers. As Max Cooper from Coopers Beers commented during his 80th birthday speech               (his 10 commandments of business), “There is always one more idiot than you counted on”. Such is the weather.

If all proceeds normally we will have a low yielding crop of Shiraz & Cabernet, but the bunches look good, and as yet no disease has plagued the blocks. As I write this Queensland is getting a hammering and flooding has once again shattered many lives, including just about all the grape growers up there. Lets hope it doesn’t blow down this way with the remnants.
